Internet and wi-fi are very needed in laptop to get online any where. Many people bought a laptop just because its make us easy to get online on internet anytime and anywhere. But, before you get online on internet, you must understand about wifi network and ad hoc methode. You can use your wireless antene to get the signal from wifi internet like on cafe, mall,etc. How if you want to get online on internet from the other laptop? Yes we can do it, you can get share internet from your friend’s laptop if he have an internet connection on his laptop. We can use Ad Hoc system ( laptop to laptop network ).



I will give you some instruction about how do create an ad hoc and get internet from their laptop below.

1. Prepare the laptop / computer which connected to the internet. ( This laptop / computer later will be used as a router )

2. Click start menu on left bottom windows, and then click on ” Connect To ” button, Show All Connection. Or you can go to ” Start – Control Panel – Network connections ”

3. Find a words with ” Setup a Connection or Network ” for windows vista user. If you use XP OS, you can skip to the next step by clicking ” Set up an ad hoc network ” and then click ” Next “. Read one by one the instruction from windows wizard till finish creating network ad hoc. Also you can make a network name and password ( optimal ).

4. And Then righ click that Wireless Connection, Usually it will be named as ” Wireless Connection ” select ” Properties ” and click the ” Wireless Networks ” tab on that layer.

5. On the next step is by clicking the ” add ” button to create your new network. After that, fill the ” Network Name ” for your ad hoc network. Also you can use and setup a password on it, so every computer / laptop which connected into this router will be asked for a password.To create a password you can choose ” WEP ” form the ” Network Authentication ” box. Fill or check list the box which shown ” This is a computer to computer ( ad hoc ) network. Press ” OK ” to finish the network ad hoc setup.


6. Right click your mouse on the connection which you used to connected to internet and choose ” Properties.” Next step is by clicking the ” Advance ” tab and check the ” Allow the other users to connect throgh this computer’s internet connection ” box. After complete that step you can select ” Wireless ” as your connection type. Click ” OK ” to enable internet connection sharing.

7. To test your ad hoc network connection, turn on your the other laptop / computer, open another computer’s ” Network Connection ” windows like Step number 2. Right click that wireless connection and choose ” View Available Wireless Networks. ” Select the ad hoc connection which you have created and then press ” connect ”

For security reason, when you setup your Ad Hoc connection, please use strong password which combine letter and number.



Do not use it without any password, its very dangerous for your laptop / computer, because anyone can see inside of your laptop / computer.
