Iraq Cracker breaking U.S. Reconnaissance Aircraft System

United States military action in Iraq plagued by local militants who do hack on unmanned reconnaissance aircraft Predator. Armed with a simple software, the rebels reportedly stole successfully recorded video feeds from Predator.


With inexpensive software called SkyGrabber, the cracker action cybernya refine targeting these sophisticated devices. Cracker possibility of using telecommunication links in the system unprotected aircraft.

Honestly this news prompted fears about the fragility Predator security systems. Because the access video from Predator, the militants could find a region which the U.S. military espionage.

Quoted from IBTimes, Wednesday (23/12/2009), the disclosure of this cracker action known after U.S. troops menemuka files contain video recordings of the Predators. Files found on laptops seized from the militants.

Military officials insisted the security hole was fixed. It is believed that the weakness has long been known, but unexpectedly the enemy can exploit.

Developers who develop SkyGrabber admitted not knowing how the program can be used to manufacture mengintersep video feeds from Predator.


“This software is developed for mengintersep music, photos, videos, programs and content that other users downloaded from the Internet,” said Andrew Solonikov, one developer SkyGrabber.
