Bing made Microsoft Dragged to Court

Missouri – Machine for Microsoft’s flagship Bing lawsuit taxable. A small company in Missouri, United States, which called Bing Information Design, pointing to Microsoft’s copyright infringement by using the same name.


The company registered its claim in the court of St. area. Louis. They asked for some compensation, including that Microsoft made to avoid confusion publications related to the use of the same name it.

As quoted from PCWorld, Monday (21/12/2009), Bing Information Design claims to have the name of Bing since 2000 and on May 26, 2009 to register copyright to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, though not yet approved.

According to the company engaged in the design, the use of the name of Bing by Microsoft and an aggressive advertising campaign, to deter them grow.

Responding to the lawsuit, the Microsoft impressed relaxed. “We believe this lawsuit without foundation and we do not believe there is confusion in the market about the products and product Bing plaintiff,” the Microsoft statement.


Microsoft released Bing to shake the dominance of Google. Currently, Bing controlled about 10 percent of search engine market share, still well below Google with percentages around 65 percent.
