The Apple 4G iPhone automatically syncs your settings and information from your mail IMAP client to the mobile device by using the Push feature, which eliminates the hassle of manually adding folders on your iPhone. Once the folder is created, your iPhone will sync with the email server and add the folder to your phone. Unfortunately, new folders cannot be added to the iPhone if your email client is a POP account.
