Connect a Mac Mini to a Plasma

Mac Mini is a small computer created by Apple that is slightly larger than a standard external hard drive. The keyboard, mouse and monitor come separately; since there is no included monitor, you need to connect some sort of viewing device to the Mac Mini. Luckily, if you currently own a plasma television, it is possible to hook up the mini computer to the flat-panel TV.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

Locate the DVI port on the rear of the Mac Mini. It is a rectangular port with a series of square pegs and a cross to the side of it.

  2. Step 2

Connect the DVI to HDMI cable adapter to the DVI port on the Mac Mini. There are fastening screws on the adapter that tighten the cable onto the computer and allow for a secure connection.

  3. Step 3

Plug the HDMI end of the cable adapter into one of the HDMI ports on the television.

  4. Step 4

Power on the television and press the “HDMI” button on the TV remote to display the Mac Mini’s desktop on the plasma screen.
