Windows Media Player 11 Problems

Windows Media Player 11 offers a great way to organize and play audio and video files. Features like Rip CDs and Album Arts help you rip songs from CDs and organize them on to your computer for easy access. You can create playlists of your favorite songs, save it on to your desktop as an icon and playback all the songs at once by clicking on this icon. You can browse and download media files directly in Windows Media Player 11.
No need to use a browser and go to the online store’s website.

    Digital Media Receiver Problems

  1. If you are facing problems playing music files while using digital media receiver, then music files on your computer are not stored in the folder accessed by Windows Media Player. To overcome this problem, click on the arrow below the “Library” tab, and then click on “Add to Library.” Next, click on “My personal folders,” click on “Advanced Options” and then click on “Add.” In the “Add Folder” dialog box that opens up, select the folder that you want Media Player to use and then click on “OK.” In the “Add To Library” dialog box, click on “OK.” Close the “Add to Library by Searching Computer” dialog box after the search has completed. Again, click the arrow below the “Library” tab, and then click on “Media Sharing.” In the “Media Sharing” dialog box, click on the “Share my media to” check box, and then click on “OK.” From the displayed list of devices, select the device to which you want to share your media, click on “Allow” and then click on “OK.”
  2. Portable Devices

  3. If your portable device is not working after upgrading to Windows Media Player 11, and you get a message saying device driver not supported, then you need to upgrade your driver to the latest one. For more assistance, contact the device manufacturer.
  4. Synchronization Problem With Iriver H10 Devices

  5. If Windows Media Player hangs up while synchronizing files to iriver H10 devices, then you need to download the latest firmware required for the device to work properly. You can download the latest firmware from the iriver website.
  6. Keyboard Shortcuts Problems

  7. Some keyboard shortcuts like the ones used to add ratings to media files do not work. Media Player’s help file incorrectly states that you can rate an item by using the keyboard shortcut. To rate an item, click on the “Library” tab, select the file in your library that you want to rate, and then click on the stars to rate them.

  8. Media Player Does Not Start

  9. If your Media Player does not start and you get the error “An internal application error has occurred,” then you need to register the files “Jscript.dll” and “VBScript.dll”. They are corrupted. To register them, go to “Start,” click on “Run,” in the Open box type “regsvr32 jscript.dll”, and then click on “OK.” Again, go to “Start,” click on “Run,” in the Open box type “regsvr32 vbscript.dll”, and then click on “OK.”
